The Macallan 1997 Exceptional Single Cask #5542/02/ 2019 Release - The 2019 Macallan Exceptional Casks were bottled mostly for the United States and parts of Asia. The range takes its name from a number of single cask bottlings Macallan released during the 1990s, which are often described as some of "the greatest Macallan of them all."

Distilled on 16th April 1997 and bottled over 21 years later after maturing in single European oak first fill sherry hogshead #5542 (Ref: 2019/ESB-5542/02).
Selected by Macallan Whisky Maker Steven Bremner, this was the 2nd cask to be reserved for the 2019 series on 26th April 2019.
